Reclaimed barn wood
Over the years, we have found that shelves (of all kinds) are incredibly popular amongst our customers. Reclaimed barn wood shelves add a nice splash of that farmhouse look and feel to even the most modern of homes.
One of our favorite types that has been making a resurgence in the industry is floating shelves. If you follow any reclaimed barn wood business on Instagram, you have probably seen the shelves we are talking about. Gorgeous pieces of reclaimed barn wood, cut to size and finished, looking like they are just floating against the wall. These look great in the living room for picture frames, knickknacks, and a random book or two. We have also seen them in the bedroom, again for picture frames and the like.
A play off of the floating shelves that has piqued our interest is the reclaimed barn wood shelf paired with the metal piping and hardware underneath for support. This look has a nice contrast between the rustic and the industrial.
So this month, we decided to make our focus on this specific type of reclaimed barn wood shelving and we are ready to walk you through the creation process (and share some exciting news about our first give-a-way of the year).
