As you may expect, we salvage and recover way more than just barn wood. In fact, we have found some really incredible things while on site deconstructing a barn. So we find fully intact doors, window frames, door handles, rollers, and other door hardware, all of which is to be expected since we are working on a barn.
Many of the things we find can be used in various projects. We've actually been able to use some of the fully intact barn doors as actual doors in other buildings. If your interested in any of these products- frames, doors, vents- just let us know when you set up your appointment with Jim.
Some of the other things we recover from these barn sites are door handles, rollers, and some other hardware used on doors and windows. Jim and the Michigan Reclaimed Barns and Lumber team have collected literal buckets of these items. We shared a few of the photos below!
These handles and rollers and other items can add that extra "oomph" that any project needs. A few of our customers have opted to use an authentic barn door handle on their sliders and, honestly, it helps bring a project together.
We're talking streetlights, wagons, wheels, wagons, lawnmowers, rakes, barrels, bikes... All of which have come from barns in Michigan and in the Midwest. Each of these finds hold a bit a history and were so much fun to uncover while on the job. We've shared some of our favorites in the photos below.
